Originally from Rutherford, N.J., Mat brings a multi-disciplinary approach to Gateway projects. He earned a B.A. in Studio Art from the University of Maryland and an M.A. in Teaching from the College of Notre Dame of Maryland. Mat has a passion for housing and gets excited to see new structures being built. His day-to-day responsibilities include directing field employees and subcontractors, and ensuring jobs are on track and purchase orders are correctly coded. At the end of the process, a house magically appears!
Mat’s superpower is finding a need and filling it. He enjoys Thai food and the movie “Forrest Gump.” In his spare time, favorite hobbies include oil painting, working out and carpentry.
