Purchasing Manager

A native of Jourdanton, Texas, Tim graduated from Texas State University with a degree in Health and Wellness Promotion. He initially worked as a teacher and coach but soon became burned out by the long hours and low pay. Tim’s stepdad built custom cabinets and furniture and his father was a commercial project manager, so he decided to give the construction industry a shot. He worked as a commercial superintendent for his dad for two years, building school gyms, metal buildings and other structural steel projects. He then moved to the residential sector of the San Antonio market, working his way up through several home building companies as he learned all aspects of sales, design and operations, eventually advancing to Director of Purchasing and VP of Operations.

Tim came to work for Gateway in 2022 in search of a change from the corporate world. As purchasing manager, he develops purchasing strategies, maintains positive relationships with suppliers, coordinates internal supply needs and oversees the purchasing team. Because Cheyenne and San Antonio are vastly different markets, he has enjoyed sharing new ideas and using his extensive experience to refine and elevate Gateway processes.

Tim’s superpower is his boundless energy (“I’ll sleep when I die!”). He loves a good steak and baked potato, and “The Wizard of Oz” is one of his favorite movies. In his free time, he enjoys hunting, fishing, hiking, being outdoors, grilling/cooking and being with people.
