Spencer is a Cheyenne native who has always enjoyed using his hands to build things of all kinds, from furniture to houses. He started in the construction industry in junior high, working as a laborer. He later studied at the University of Wyoming, simultaneously running a contracting business that offered services including kitchen and bath remodels and decks. After graduating with a B.S. in Business Administration, he moved back to Cheyenne to take over an antique restoration company in 2011.
Spencer became interested in working for Gateway after he and his wife built a home with the company. He has been employed as a project manager since 2019, specializing in multi-family commercial projects. His day-to-day responsibilities start at the development stage by seeing a project through the city approval process, and continuing through budgeting, costing, subcontractor management and general project oversight. His favorite things about working for Gateway are the team and the opportunity to overcome a new challenge every day, and his superpowers include an ability to stay calm and collected in any situation.
Spencer loves barbeque of any kind. In his free time, he enjoys woodworking, hunting and spending time with his wife and two kids.
